Mount Carmel Offers an Emotional Health Series in May
Each Sunday in May from 9:30am to 10:15 am Mount Carmel will offer an Emotional Health Series to increase awareness, dispel myths and stigmas about Mental Health via education provided by mental health professionals from both Child/Adolescent mental health and Adult/Senior mental health and to provide resources for seeking help. To also improve self awareness and to be intentional about the health of our spirit, soul and body.
Make this series a part of your healthy lifestyle this month:
May 12th: Dispelling the Myths and Revealing the Truths about Child Mental Health. Panel Discussion: L’oreal Glenn, child/adolescent therapist, Tammara Starr, child/adolescent nurse practitioner, Dentavius Barber, substance abuse clinician and one member from the Consumer Family Advisory Board. Theme: Child/Adolescent Mental Health Issues (incl substance abuse).
May 19th: A Healthy Me-A Healthy Church. Panel Discussion: Susie Parrott, John Gordon, Rev. Marguerite Lee & Minister Troy Keen.
May 26th: Adult and Senior Mental Health issues: Dispelling the Myths and Revealing the Truths about adult/senior mental health issues. Panel Discussion: Matthew Simon, adult mental health therapist, Dr. Linda Mundle, adult psychiatrist, Dentavius Barber, substance abuse counselor and member of Consumer Family Advisory Council.
